An Australian in London...There’s a curious universality to *Sean O’Neill’s* music.
Born and raised in Perth, Australia the singer now resides in London. Yet, listening to his music, such biographical details become unimportant.
With that voice – whiskey soaked, saw dust sprinkled – his music has an oddly out of time feel, as though O’Neill had emerged from the photograph of the Old West.
Releasing an EP in Australia in 2012, Sean O’Neill is now ready for his next step. ‘Vienna’ opens with intense, feedback laden drones before settling into his dusty, gilded Americana – all delivered with that voice at the centre.
The visuals have a grained, damaged feel, as though the tape itself has been worn away with rain.
